Dr. Peter J. Katris, DDS Carol Stream Dental Associates 784 W. Army Trail Road Carol Stream IL 60188I started with a regular checkup (plus X-ray taking) with Dr. Katris on Dec 08, 2005.
Then in the following 3 months, he kept on doing deep cleanings without explicitly telling me that the charge far exceeded what my dental insurance (COMDENT) could cover. Even when COMDENT refused to pay in the beginning, Dr. Katris' office continued to tell me that they would deal with COMDENT. So I got the wrong impression that I only pay a small fraction of the cost and returned to the dentist office and had more expensive treatments.
Finally, I found out that there was no way the insurance company would cover the outrageous overcharges and I stopped going to see Dr. Katris in March 2006.
But it was too late then and the final cost from my pocket has accumulated to about $700.00 just for cleaning and some fillings.
